About Heritage Local

Heritage Local shares the varied and vibrant folklife of our greater Philadelphia community, past and present.

In our families and our communities, we experience art everyday. We cook, dance, play games, weave, dress, tell stories, teach, sing, tend gardens, celebrate, stitch, make music. This is our folklife, “the everyday and intimate creativity that all of us share and pass on to the next generation,” and it’s an inspiration to witness.
